Recreating Consumer Engagement at Scale
THE CHALLENGE
Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) oversees some of the most high-traffic retail ecosystems in the world, including City Centre malls. However, in a landscape of massive footfall, the primary challenge was a "Data Blindspot." MAF needed to move beyond sheer numbers to understand the distinction between a customer (who enters) and a consumer (who engages). Without granular consumer data, mall animations and digital touchpoints remained generic rather than personalized.

The most meaningful design isn't just visual—it’s data-driven. We realized that to "Add Hype" to the retail experience, we had to bridge the gap between physical movement and digital identity. People don't want to feel like a statistic; they want their journey to be recognized. By leveraging "Sharepod" technology and interactive app ecosystems, we could turn anonymous footfall into actionable consumer profiles.
